I remember Pennie.  This is really sad reading about our classmates who have died so young.  Pennie was a great person.  She used to help me with my homework.  And I would just copy hers!

I had no idea. We lived directly across the street from each other and literally grew up together. She was a treasure. I,m sure her family misses her dearly.

My family was on a partyline with her family ...boy did we have fun with that!

I remember Pennie and I choreographing dance routines to Beatles songs in her den. She had a trampoline in her backyard and the kids in the neighborhood would hang out playing on it. I even remember spending the night on it. We also would use her yard to play "no ghost out tonight" ( hide and seek at night). Pennie had long beautiful blonde hair and I remember helping her at times to iron it on an ironing board or curl it with OJ cans.
I enjoyed spending time with her. I wish I hadn't lost touch with her.

Her dad and my dad were pretty good friends. If I remember correctly, (someone help me out on this if possible), her dad was owner of the old Handy Andy food store down on San Pedro by Solo Serve. She had a good friend also named Kathy Page. Did they not live in Harmony Hills? Anyway she was always friendly and very out going. I remember she was into horses even as a young lady. Really sad she passed at such a young age. --Donny Hancock
