This iformation was provided to me from Brian Hastings.  I found Coach Kramer in our Junior year annual, and knew he coached a bit, but how long he was at Mac I do not know.

Robert Joseph Kramer entered into Heavenly rest on August 7, 2011. He was born on December 29, 1942 to Col. and Mrs. John J. Kramer in San Antonio, TX. He was a beloved father, son, brother and uncle. Robert was a 1961 graduate of Seguin High School, accumulating 7 letters in football, baseball and basketball. Robert played on the first state championship baseball team in 1960 at Seguin High School being named All District and honorable mention All State. He also played quarterback and safety in high school and earned All District honors in football on both offense and defense. The 1961 football team won Seguin's first district championship in 39 years. On September 12, 2008 he was inducted into the Seguin High School Hall of Honor. Robert received a football scholarship to Sam Houston State University graduating in 1965. While playing there as a defensive back, he was a 3 year letterman and a starter on their NAIA National Championship team in 1964. He was named to the Lone Star All Conference team twice and was an honorable mention NAIA All American. After receiving his Master's Degree in Education from McNeese State University, Robert began a successful coaching and teaching career in Cameron, TX., then becoming assistant coach at MacArthur High School in San Antonio. He was named head football coach at Hitchcock High School followed by Southwest High School in San Antonio, where he later served as assistant principal. He retired from San Antonio Independent School District after 35 years of coaching and teaching. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Karl and former spouse Lynda Lytle Kramer. He was loved deeply and will be greatly missed by his son Brian, sisters Patsy, Joyce, Mary and Eva; brothers John, George, Mike, Joseph and Tommy. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and uncle. The family would like to acknowledge and thank his loving caregivers, niece Monica Osten and brother-in-law Tom McNaught. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life luncheon in his memory on Sunday, August 14 at 1:00 p.m., at Northern Hills Country Club, located at 13202 Scarsdale in San Antonio.
