ROBINSON
CSM Samuel K. (Robbie) Robinson, U.S. Army retired, went to be with the Lord on June 9, 2011 at the age of 90. He was born June 18, 1920 in Philadelphia, PA to Andrew & Blanche Robinson. He faithfully served his country, earning 2 Bronze Stars and 2 Purple Hearts during WWII. He was especially proud of his participation in the D Day landing at Normandy. In addition to his active duty service, he instituted the JROTC program at MacArthur H.S. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Audrey; his daughters and sons in law Joanne, Sandra and Michael Croshaw, Karen and James Ladewig; grandchildren Ashley and Chad Ladewig; loving in-laws Dorothy and Johnnie Petrie of Nova Scotia, Canada; numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Vista Care Hospice for their compassion and assistance, especially Alex, Samantha (Simi), Robin, Chaplain Haynes, Christine, Jennifer and Dr. Guzman.
Funeral Service will be 8:30 a.m., Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
